Reading about Caritas in Papua New Guinea!

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog. This week for reading we had to read about Caritas in Papua New Guinea. We had to read about new things we found out in the text. We also had to write down our thoughts about this. I worked with Christopher to create a Caritas in Papua New Guinea digital brainstorm on google drawings. The goal was: Use knowledge from text to combine with new ideas (own and others) to come up with new thinking. This is what we did. When reading you want to follow the coloured lines so if you want to read about the seashells in Papua New Guinea you would go to the centre of the picture and follow the purple line to the fact and then keep following to the part about what we think about the fact.
Have you ever made something like this before? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Writing a set of shoelace instructions!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. This week for writing we had a choice to either write a set of instructions on how to wash your hands or how to tie your shoelace. I chose to do how to tie your shoelace. We had a doc that we had to copy and then rewrite the instructions. These are my instructions. Our goal was: Use a variety of sentences structures, beginnings and lengths to give effect.
An example of how I showed that was I used a variety of sentence beginnings and not start them all the same.

Did this help you with tying your shoelace if you can't? Tell me in the comments. See ya.

Maths Geometry 3D and 2D shapes!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. This week for maths our task was to create two 3D shapes as nets on a website called Isometric drawing tool. This is what I did.

This is my rectangular prism and net.              This is my cube and net.

I tried to do the rectangular prism cause I thought it would be challenging and it was a bit.

Have you tried doing this before tell me in the comments below. Goodbye.

Welcome to 2020! Last year of Primary school!

Hello and welcome back to my blog it has been a long time since I lasted posted a blog but now I'm back for 2020 to post blogs about this school year. This year I am a year eight in Kaupeka hub which means I have a lot more responsibility than ever before. We also get to pick our leadership groups. I am hoping to be in the P.A.L.S.(Physical Activity Leaders) or at least that is what I think it stands for. This year I hope to be able to get my work done quickly and good quality. I am looking forward to the advantages that I have when being a year eight.

In the holidays I went to Motunau because my Aunt and Uncle went up there to stay for the week. I also went to my friends Bach in Hanmer Springs. We also did all sorts of other stuff.

What did you do in your holidays? Tell me in the comment section below. Goodbye.
