Lock-down day one activity blog! If I could change one part in a book!

Kia Ora! Haere mai! Welcome back to my blog. As you probably know we in a lock-down because of Covid- 19 which the level 4 lock-down started on Wednesday night which is the twenty-fifth of March. As of then I have been very annoyed sitting around at home doing basically nothing. Until today. Today the Principal of my school created a Student Blog hop so now I can do the task some days and blog about it. The first task was this, watch the video to find out.

In this video it says to do five book but I did one. Warning! If you have not read and seen Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix to the Deathly Hallows do not read! DO NOT READ! This is what I made.

Book 1: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Why: I would try and save Sirius Black from Bellatrix Lestrange in the Ministry of Magic. This would change the book because then Sirius Black might survive and maybe stop Bellatrix, put her in prison and then Dobby also might not die in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I would stay there until the end of the Order of the Phoenix and then go to the Deathly Hallows to see what has happened and if the end go’s to plan, like it should.

Have you seen this video and done this before? Tell and show me in the comments. Goodbye.

Planning template for younger students! Made by me!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. This week for writing we had to create a planning template for others kids of all ages to use. We got to choose which hub to do the planning template for. I did mine for Tumu students. But if you need to you can use it to plan your writing and depending on what your writing about, you can change it up as well. This is the actual thing.
Have you ever made a planning template for someone else before? Tell me in the comments below. See ya!

PBL Communication Blog!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. As most of you know we recently had our school fair. All of the Kaupeka hub had to create a game for the kids fun zone. You were able to buy a ticket which allowed you to play 10 games. There were all sorts of games like balloon pop (which my group made), counter toss and knock down which is where you throw a bean bag at the water bottles. Anyway, when making the game we had to use three different 6 c's. They were collaboration, creativity and communication. This blog is about communication. I think I communicated well with my group. We eventually got to know each other better and then we were really well together after. Then our project was done. I think we used each others strengths and ability's to our advantage well. Sometimes we worked on different things and sometimes the same and that worked out good for our group.

Have you ever had a school fair and had to create a game for it and run it? Tell me in the comments. Bye

Reading about the Treaty of Waitangi!

Kia Ora! Haere mai! This week for reading we had to read about the Treaty of Waitangi and then if there was a word we didn't understand we had to write it down on a collaborative doc and then we had to make our own definition. Then we had to create a D.L.O of what the word meant. I chose the word compensation. This is what I did.
What words do you not know that you have had to research? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

PBL Creativity Blog!

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog. As you may already know we recently had our school fair. Image result for st francis of assisi christchurch school fairAs part of the Kaupeka hub we had to create a game for the people at the fair to play. My group made a game called balloon pop. The aim of the game is to throw the dart at the balloon and whoever gets the highest points wins. We could've handed out a prize but we didn't cause we weren't aloud.

Did you come down to the fair? Tell me what you thought about it if you came. Goodbye.

PBL Collaboration Blog

Hello this term for PBL we have to make a game for our PBL fair on Sunday the 8th of March. This blog is about how we collaborated during making our project. When making our project we kind of just split into a few groups to get it done. Our project is a board that you have to throw darts at and there are balloons that you have to pop as well. During making our project I showed collaboration by:

  • Helping try to stop fights that happen.
  • Kind of leading the group.
  • Going along with good ideas.
  • Contributing my own ideas.
When doing something like this how would you have shown collaboration? Tell me in the comments. Bye.
