Our third week of online schooling! Reading about Anzac day!

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog. This week for reading we had to read books about Anzac day. I choose to read the book Lest we Forget. It is about people interveiwing the soldiers that survived in Gallipoli in World War I. We had to create something that said three main events, why you think this is important and what it made you think about. This is what I made.
What do you know about Anzac day? Tell me in the comments below. Goodbye.

Our third week of online school! Tree diagram questions!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. This week for maths we were learning about tree diagrams. For the learn part we had to make two tree diagrams. But for the create we had to make a question to write a tree diagram about. This is the question I made.
Have you made a question for a tree diagram? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Our third week of online school! My writing story!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. This week for writing we were learning about complex sentences. A complex sentence is made up out of independent clauses and dependent clauses. I had to write a story with four complex sentences. This is the story I wrote. It is called My short story.
My short story
As the cargo ship rocked from the waves, I climbed aboard as best as I could. The ship had went
on a lean and I saw my chance. I went into the water and then swam up jumping out and onto the boat.
“There’s a baby seal on board!” a man working on the cargo ship nearby yelled. As I slipped into a
crate with a broken door, I heard many feet stamping all around me, outside. Then someone locked
the crate door back up. I was lost. Another wave rocked the ship and a basket of fish fell onto the
crate floor. I slowly went up to it and took one of the fish that had fell out. Another set of people ran
past the crate I was hiding in.

I chewed on the fish and eventually I had broken a bit off. I slipped behind a box trying to hide as an man opened the crate door to check inside. He saw the
fish on the ground with a chunk taken out of it. “Hello? It’s OK. I will help you.” As I slipped out of the
box, he threw a net over the top of me. I yelped as he yanked me out and yelled, “I found the seal!”
Other men crowded around me but one of them decided to take the net and take me out of it. I looked
at him as he picked me up and said, “Leave him be. We will set him free when we get to dry land.”
He then carried me to his hammock bed and put me in it.
The next day I woke up to see him sleeping next to me in another hammock. As we arrived on dry
land he took me out of the ship checking to see if I was alright. He then set me free on the beach.
I went into the water and looked back at him as he went back onto the ship to carry his stuff out.

Have you had to write using complex sentences before? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Our second week of online school. My maths info-graphic.

Hello and welcome back to my blog. As you know we are in lock-down because of the spread of Covid-19. We can not go to school and talk to friends unless online. We have been doing school online. This week for maths I had to create an info-graphic about charts and data. This is what I made.
What info-graphics have you made? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Our second week at online school. How to edit your writing!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. As you already know we are in lock-down because of the spread of Covid-19. That means we can't go to school and talk with friends unless online and go out anywhere unless it is essential. So we are doing school online. For writing this week we had to create something that can help you remember how to edit your writing. This is what I did.
Have you ever made something like this before? If so tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Our second week of online learning. This is my reading task!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. As you already know we are in lock-down because of the spread of Covid-19. So we have been doing school work online. For reading this week in lock-down we had to create an info-graphic about the difference between real news and fake news. This is the info-graphic that I made.
Have you ever created an info-graphic before? Have you ever been fooled by fake news? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Our first week at online school! This is my maths task!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. As you probably already know we are in lock-down which means we can't go to school. But we can do learning at home, thanks to google meet. We have been using it to talk to our teachers and peers and sometimes our friends in the spare time. Anyway this weeks goal for maths for me was: Identify and use the features of a figure that do not change as it is reflected, rotated, translated or enlarged. We had to create a tessellation. A tessellation is a shape that has been multiplied to create a pattern but there can be no gaps. You can use many shapes to create a tessellation like a square, triangle and hexagon. You can not use a circle though. Only because it will leave gaps. This is my tessellation that I made.

Have you made a tessellation before? If so tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Our first week at online school! This is my writing task!

Kia Ora! Haere mai! Welcome back to my blog. We are in a lock-down and can't go to school. Although there is a really cool google website called google meet. We have been using it to communicate to our teachers and pears and in the spare time catch up with some friends. This week for writing the goal was. Use language that is suitable to the topic and purpose.
This is what I had to do.
What have you done since we started school work online? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Lock-down day six activity blog! Describing an object!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. As you probably already know we are in lock-down which means no communicating with the outside world. Except online. I have been talking to my friends on google meet. Anyway my principal and her colleagues have created a blog hop where each day there is a new activity to write about. This one is to describe an object and you have to guess it.

1. It can come in all different shapes and sizes.
2. It can hold different amounts of people at a time.
3. You need fuel to make it work.
4. It can reach very high speeds when you go fast on it.
5. You need a trailer to get it to where you want to drive it.

Can you guess what it is? Tell me your thoughts in the comments. Goodbye.

Lock-down day five activity blog! What is your favourite board game?

Hello and welcome back to my blog. As probably already know we are in a lock-down which means we can't communicate with the outside world. Well not really. I have been talking with my friends on google meet. We have also been playing some games with each other as well. But my principal and her colleagues have created a blog hop to do. So each day (except weekends) we have a task to write about but you don't have to do all of them. This one is what is your favourite board game? I like to play cards a lot of the time but if I could play a board game it would probably either be chess or monopoly. Chess is really fun and requires a lot of different strategy's to win. Monopoly is a game where you go around the board buying houses and if someone lands on your house the have to pay you. Monopoly: Ultimate Banking Edition | Toy | at Mighty Ape NZ
My brother and I like to play this version! Monopoly Ultimate Banking! In this version you don't use cash. You use cards and it is a lot quicker.

What would your favourite board game be? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Lock-down day four activity blog! What are five things I would take to space?

Hello and welcome back to my blog. As you probably know already we are in lock-down and you probably know what the means. No meeting with friends and going to the park. Which annoys me because I like to go and do stuff in my weekends. But we have to stay at home to keep everyone safe. So my principal and her employees have created a blogging thing to do. This is the fourth activity. What are five things I would take to space?

1. A camera.
2. A computer.
3. Food and water.
4. A bed.
5. Something to film everything happening.

I would take a camera so I can take pictures of everything. I would take a computer so I can play some games while in space if it would let me. I would take food and water so that I don't die up there. I would take a bed so I can sleep whenever I want. I would take something to film everything with so that if I find something interesting I can document it.

What are five things you would take to space? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Lock-down day three activity blog! I invented a new flavour of Ice-cream!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. As you probably already know we are in a lock-down. Which means we can't catch up with friends, and basically can't do anything that is to do with others. So my school has created tasks to blog about. In this one we have to create a new flavour of Ice-cream. I thought of making a pizza one cause my favourite food is pizza but I don't know how that would turn out. So I tried to make a lolly type flavoured one. I came up with sherbet fizz liquorice flavour. I don't know how I would sell it though. I would have to get some taste testers just so I can get their input to make it delicious.

If you had to create a certain flavour of Ice-cream if you worked at an ice-cream store, what flavour would you make? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.

Lock-down day two activity blog! The Velociraptor!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. As you probably already know we are in lock-down, which means we can't catch up with friends and get closer than two metres away from others that aren't in your family. But you can text and video chat with others. I have been doing that today. I talked with a couple of my friends today. Anyway, this is my lock-down day two task. I know its not day two but we didn't get the tasks until day 5. This task was to write about you waking up and there is a dinosaur in your backyard. What dinosaur is it? And what would you do with it?
The dinosaur I would hope for it to be is the velociraptor. What Velociraptors are really like - Business Insider
For those of you that don't know the velociraptor is a dinosaur with a lot of bird-like attributes. It is said that it has feathers but that is not what Jurassic Park says.
Velociraptor (Blender 3D, Substance Painter) : JurassicPark
Anyway, what would I do with it? I would probably send it to a science lab and see if I can study it as well. And then I would take it back.

So what would you do if you woke up and went outside to see a dinosaur in your backyard? What would you do with it and what dinosaur would you hope for it to be? Tell me in the comments. Goodbye.
